Does anyone have any experience with this program? I'm reading about antivirous software and this one was ranked number one. My demo of nod32 has expiree, and I haven't decided if I want to buy it. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks!

Hi,

I haven't had experience with Bit defender myself, but I've been happily using Nod32 for around 5 years or so and in my opinion, if I were going to pay for something, I wouldn't buy anything else. One really nice thing in Nod's favor is that you're getting protection from viruses as well as other Malware, all in one program. However, having said that, it's never a bad idea to shop around. During your demo of Nod, did you find any disadvantages, or things you didn't like about the program?
Typically, my recommendation for friends and or clients is that if they want to pay for something, they should go with Nod, and if they want free, then AVG is perfectly fine.

Hmmm, not really, but I also felt really clueless. One thing I like about Norton, is the spam folder in outlook express. When it mises a piece of spam, I send it to the Norton folder. I didn't notice anything like that in Nod32. The program seemed fine and didn't bog down my system, but I don't really know what to look for. I need something very user friendly. I hate it when these antivirous software ask me a question and I don't know how to answer it. Or if I go with what they suggest, then the program says, are you sure? I'm thinking, frick no, what do I do? Lol! Thanks for your in put.

I agree with Ben. I'm using AVG Free and it's great software, and it's free, checks your messages and works nicely as an anti virus. At lesat consider it. I've been very happy so far.

I used Bit Defender for a bit. It worked very nicely but it always messed up my Outlook Express. I couldn't send or receive any messages with it unless I turned it off. There must be a setting somewhere but if a program isn't smart enough to install itself without blocking a necessary feature on your computer I'm not a big fan.

One thing you can do with nod32 is delete your cookies and redownload it. But otherwise I think it's worth paying for.
It's easy to use, and I like the fact that it scanns everything including email. Also, I didn't think that AVG was free. I've all ways seen on the site that you have to pay for it after the ttrial.
